Rob is the prior President and COO of QinetiQ North America (QNA), a well-known defense, security, and robotics company. Rob led QNA’s rapid growth from 2004-2009, with revenue growing from $180MM to over $1.2B, with 5,400 employees in 20 U.S. locations. Rob was part of the leadership team that acquired and integrated 11 separate companies into QNA. By 2008, QNA was number 24 on Washington Technology’s List of top companies.

 

Rob is the former founder and CEO of Westar Aerospace & Defense Group, which was acquired for $138MM in 2004 by QinetiQ Ltd (UK), then a Carlyle portfolio company. Westar Aerospace was a leader in rotary-wing aerospace engineering services with $200MM in revenue and 800 employees. Rob was also a founder of Aerospace Filtration Systems, Inc. a Westar Aerospace spinout company. AFS was sold to Donaldson Company for $38MM in 2007. Prior to Westar, Rob was Senior Systems Engineer at McDonnell-Douglas (now Boeing). He has BSEE and BSCompe degrees from the University of Missouri.
